Leaning in & Been a Friend
Often we pass through life thinking we are alone, when in fact we aren't at all. It's very simple to be a blessing to another, hence I want to share an encounter that propelled me to think deeper about leaning in. I felt it was God's way of telling me something important about leaning in to other people's problem & issues especially the elderly, you never know what life experiences they have and what you might learn from them. 28:30 was all it took to make someones day on this occasion, listening and encouraging her to talk about her life. One of the home worker called in through to my department and we started taking about her life . .
I have often wonder why she was a workaholic and went beyond and above the call of duty every time, there are times when she got angry at me for telling her how to do her job and she constantly sent irrelevant emails which I purposely ignore. The phone call could have swung either way, but am glad it didn't as she told me about her life, living with asthma, been on anti-biotic and why all she really had was work to keep her sane.
Her name is Val and she is 61, she talked about her non-existent family except for a cousin who checked up on her every 2-3 months to see how she doing. Prior to that, she had her mum living with her, but lost her 5 years ago after falling ill for a period of time. Her mum had 7 brothers and 3 sisters who have all passed away as well, no cousins kept it touch, the only people she had in her day to day life was the neighbours. They were the ones with her when her mum died at home 5 years ago, no family, no nothing, just a bunch of strangers who had seen her through cancer and death of her mother.
The memories she shared made my heart sink, she recounted the number of times her mum had appeared to her in fleeting moments and this experiences felt so surreal she couldn't help but know that she wasn't alone spiritually. There was this time she was feeling down, she described a bright light shinning in the corner of the room and how she saw her mum. This other time she went out and been asking her dead mum to give her sign, lo and behold when she got home, there was a white feather in the middle of her upstairs bedroom and the windows were closed and curtains drawn. Unexplainable!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't help but imagine her loneliness, losing her mum whom she described as her best friend & people actually thought they were sisters. She went on and on about her skin, hair, face and every other features that her made a special person and not once did she bore me. After she hung up, she sent me pictures of them together and wrote "Yes, we were very happy. We were mother, daughter, sisters and the best of friends rolled into one".
She talked me for the lovely chat, hoping to speak again and I have never missed a chance to catch up.

Sincerity & Power - Part 3 (Hope & a Future)
Dear Child, listen “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future….” Jeremiah 29:11
Boom boom boom…………I stumbled upon this scripture this morning and it felt like I was reading an imprint of God’s word that has always been written in my heart. In context, Jeremiah letter was written and speaking to the surviving elders among the exiles, priests, prophets and all the other people Nebuchadnezzar had carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.
This scripture was written to a group of people in a time of exile, anxiety, fear, loneliness, etc………..Personally for me, in this month of seeking sincerity and power to overcome and dwell in the goodness of his mercy, I sometime feel like I am in exile and this word reminded me that I am not.
“For I know...” When God tells you he knows, he truly knows, “…the plans I have for you”
God’s plans no matter how shocking and different it might look, is not designed to hurt me or leave me in pain, it is a good thing when he is the one looking after me and making the plans “….plans to give you hope and a future”. Because He does not set out to give me the expectation of my fears (p.s I am still human), but the promises he has always spoken off concerning me.

Sincerity & Power - How do you see Him?
Walking and praying with what has been place in my heart this month, I have been thinking how God is doing so far in my life and I could not imagine any other life without Him as my Provider, Restorer, Healer, Comforter, Counsellor, Guardian, Protector, Place of rest, Healer, Friend, Strong Tower, Hope, Anchor, Reliever, Living Water, Bringer of Peace, My Shield and I could on and on about the many things God has been to me as I have come to rest in Him.
Bringing God into my everyday life and needs!!!!!!!!!!!

Sincerity & Power
Hey new month of September....Seeking Sincerity & Power
Firstly, I must say in the lead up to the new month I have been very absent and dealing with life in the only way I know and somehow neglected to pray for myself. All of a sudden I am depleted and hungry for the voice of God to lead me through this season of exhaustion, fear, anxiety, worry and frustration.
In serving other in prayers, looking after the needs of family and friends that lean on me for support, serving in church at every opportunity, I have failed to pray for my needs and want. I find it so easy to pray for other peoples needs, but when it comes to mine, it is seems so difficult, complex and very messy, that I don't know where to start. So I only turn to God as they arise, instead of nurturing all areas of my life for spiritual growth, prosperity, success, favour and enlightenment.
In my heart as I struggled with speaking to God regarding all things concerning me, he placed two words within me 'Sincerity & Power'. Pray for sincerity so that you stop wandering off on your own and hear me, focus on what I have placed in your heart !!!! Pray for Power to overcome every obstacles and challenges, the negative emotions you are building up inside, power to recognise that I am for you and will always turn up.
Stop running around in circles, keep focused on me, don't go alone with my saying, wait at my feet!!!
After pondering on this, I though what does God mean by sincerity, is that like telling me that I am not true or acting right? The definition astounded me and here it is 'Sincerity is the virtue of one who speaks and acts truly about his or her own feelings, thoughts, and desires. The most profound meaning I found was 'In heart of heart', the first heart in this expression means ‘core’ and the second heart means ‘seat of feeling, understanding, and thought.’ Then I got it, seek my core and heart for you Keke, be strengthen by my power through prayer. *Selah*
So in this month of seeking sincerity in feeling, thoughts and understanding, I am saying no to fear, anxiety, stress and worry and claiming the power to receive the promises of the kingdom with joy, love, peace, light and defining clarity in Jesus name. Amen
